Daily Journal Volume 5 : 1640-1641
This volume contains the transcription of the 1640-1641 Daily Journals of Batavia Castle. The volume was published in 1887 by the ‘Bataviaasch Genootschap van Kunsten en Wetenschappen’ (Perhimpunan Seni dan Ilmu pengetahuan Batavia) under the supervision of the Landsarchivaris (Colonial State archivist) J.A. van der Chijs.
The original handwritten Daily Journals transcribed and published in this volume are still available at the Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia (National Archives of Indonesia) under inventory number 2457.
